  • I am major in aerospace engineering. What shall I do to become astronaut? or work at NASA?

NASA hires a lot of people all over the country. However, most of us work for contractors that work for NASA. There are more contractor jobs and they generally pay better. My wife is a secretary at the Johnson Space Center, but I have always worked for contractors like IBM and Boeing.

Why do i tremble for no reason?

Posted by admin on September 29th, 2009 and filed under aerospace watches | 5 Comments »

I am seventeen and since i was like thirteen, my hands and sometimes my head would shake for no reason, even when im home watching tv. Its annoying because when i drink a beverage, its just about noticeable, even when im holding a pen. Its not that bad in those kinds of situations but its something that im worried about, especially since i like drwing and i have a large dream of designing aerospace aircrafts, and its kind of scary.
What could it be, can it be stoped or just make the trembling calm down a bit.

What path should I take if I want to be in the aerospace field?

I am entering my third year in college, studying mechanical engineering at the University of Michigan. I have good grades (3.58 GPA) and am about to finish an internship for an auto parts company in Michigan. Looking for some advice and how I can help line my self up for a position at place like Boeing or Lockheed or any other major aerospace corporation.

if you’re studying Mechanical engineering, i believe that you’re qualified enough for aerospace engineering. At the university that I’m attending now (UT Arlington) Aerospace & Mechaniocal Engineering Classes go toguether and Both Fields Are 60% similar, the only difference is that Aerospace is more Narower than Mechanical engineering, since Aerospace only focuses on the air and Space stuff. if you want to go to Aerospace, i know that the University of Michigan offer aerospace under ABET so just change your major by going to your advisor and switch departments, since youre in Mechanical, im preety sure that the credit hours are going to transfer over. But you culd also do a double major since youre allready in your third year too, But thats for you to decide.

Is it possible to combine Aerospace Engineering and a pre-med track?

Posted by admin on September 29th, 2009 and filed under aerospace | 3 Comments »

I want to know if it is humanly possible to study Aerospace Engineering in college and still hold a pre-med course track without exploding. Can it realistically be done, as there is plenty of weeding out of pre-med students, and many facets of AE are esoteric and difficult?

ABSOLUTELY!!! I was a Biological Systems Engineer who took the pre med track in college. It’s extremely tough seeing that the class structures are completely different. You go from taking an exam with open book/note to one with a pencil only. The mindset to able to handle the analytical thinking in engineering and memorization in pre med will be the main challenge.

Talk to your academic advisor and see if any of the pre med classes can count as your technical or general elective courses. That will minimize your total work load. You can also double major in both but understand that in doing this, make sure its something you want to do. Don’t be like me where you get burnt out with all the studies and not continue to medical school. I love what i do now (Water Resource Engineer) and it’s nice to know if I change my mind tomorrow that I have everything done but you do it initially to complete it, not to hold on to it.

    Good Luck!!

after completing aerospace engg from IIT ,can i join NASA , airbus or boeing?

Posted by admin on September 27th, 2009 and filed under aerospace nasa | 2 Comments »

pursuing BE in aeronautical engg, simultaneously training in SARAYA airlines in NEW DELHI airport

I think NASA is a political dead end. It will never get the funding it needs to expand its missions. I also think Boeing will continue to take market share from Airbus and that it will have better engineering opportunities as a result.

Any nice, outdoors, family oriented girls left?

Posted by admin on September 27th, 2009 and filed under aerospace watches | 4 Comments »

I’m just a good guy that just has never found the right person to date. I’m 19, intelligent, somewhat shy, pretty good looks (no superman or anything). I am just wondering if there are any good girls left out there. **Must love family, animals, and the outdoors** Here’s some more about me:

I’m an intelligent guy (attending ERAU in Daytona for Aerospace Engineering). I Love the outdoors and spend much of my time out there. I will participate in almost any outdoors activity, but I’m especially into fishing. I am a "good guy" you could say and believe in honesty, truthfulness, integrity, compassion, and all those things. I love animals and kids, but don’t want kids until settled down with a wife. I am the kind of person that everyone wants to be friends with, but no one ever seems to want to be more than that. I’m not really a geek, but I have some quirks that can make people think that. I’m fairly shy before I get to know people, but I warm up pretty quick. Family is a major part of my life and I spend a lot of time with them.

I’m somewhat of an introvert when I am first introduced to people and not into the party scene at all. I have never had alcohol and don’t plan to anytime soon, never have smoked (never will), never had a girlfriend (sounds sad, but I’ve seen high school relationships which never work out, so I don’t think I missed out on much!). I value intelligence greatly because as Ron White says, "You can’t fix stupid!" I want to get my private pilot license at some point and maybe invest in a plane after college.

somewhat random but I’ve never been in a serious relationship, never had sex, and never been kissed.

I am looking for a nice gal that is intelligent, funny, compassionate, family oriented, and HAS to love dogs. I’d like them to be good looking, I’m not saying supermodel, a few extra pounds is alright with me, although I’m as skinny as a stick and 6′3". I’m math and science orientated which I love, but maybe a girl that is more artistic and such to be different. I find what I do interesting, but I also appreciate the finer things in life.

I may sound too good to be true nowadays, but I assure you, I’ve tried to be 100% honest and I’d love to meet a person that I could spend time with.

    First Date
As for a first date, something simple. Maybe a walk through the woods and just sitting watching the stars. I guess I’m kind of unique, most guys I know just won’t do stuff like that.

I’m also open to friendships. I love to meet new people. and even though I haven’t had much luck dating, I do offer good dating advice.

    Nick

You sound great! And it’s creepy but ur description sounds a lot like me o.O

Anyway, I’m sure there’s others out there, just look carefully. I admit it is becoming harder to find just the *right* person; and like you I’m picky about it ;)

    So, good luck.

does anyone know anything about flight testing using gear simulator?

What are the job prospects for a female aerospace engineer?

Posted by admin on September 27th, 2009 and filed under aerospace | 2 Comments »

I am going to get aerospace engineering in IIT, but i want to know the job prospects and the average salary of an aerospace engineer from IIT.

Average packages are quite high in case of aerospace engineering, there is no sex thing during jobs, it does not matter weather u are male or female, its just your knowledge & skills that count.
