I am a high school student in New Zealand. I want to pursue my career as an aerospace engineer in NASA so is it impossible to get a job in there with good pay. Cause I heard you need a higher iq to get into NASA. Any advice someone. Pls
NASA doesn’t hire a lot of engineering themselves, but they do have quite a few as contractors working for other companies and universities. You’d have a better shot at one of those jobs. NASA doesn’t care what your IQ is. They want to know you can do the job.

Obviously it’s not impossible, or no-one would work there
However, considering what they are dealing with, I would imagine the standards are extremely high, and the competition is tough to get a job with them…

There is a great deal of competition for these types of jobs, but life happens wherever you are. Set your goals and keep working and you will end up somewhere great.

You have to be a US citizen to work for NASA.
I am a Canadian electronics engineer working in LA and would love to work for NASA but they cannot accept me no matter how good I am. The best I could work on are some smaller weapons programs.
Also, NASA does not pay that well. Why should they? Half the people in engineering would work there for little more than minimum wage, myself included.
