  • Aeronautical Engineering abroad ?

Posted by admin on March 1st, 2010 and filed under aerospace watches | 2 Comments »

I love planes, commercial not military and love to be around them. People think I’m crazy when i get excited about the first flights of new aircraft and wake up at ungodly hours to watch them live online.

Anyway, to the point. I want to do Aeronautical Engineering. I want to go abroad to do it because I don’t want to study in India. For this reason, I’m giving my SAT I this year. Currently I’m about to go in Grade 11 in April.

So basically, I want to know which colleges are the best abroad for Aerospace Engineering. You know, in countries like Singapore, US , UK etc.

    Thanks. :)
Airliners.net ? I’ve been a daily visitor to that website since 2005. Thanks anyway.

Also, I would like to go somewhere that is no so expensive. UK is damn expensive for education as well as for living.

    Thanks. :)

There any number of colleges are offering best aeronautical engineering,is it best if you mention what country you want to be specify.so what it will easy for us to answer your question.
Anyways its good to know about your intrest in planes.
i have a website for you i hope you will like.
    Good luck

    Advice regarding the Air Force?

Posted by admin on October 29th, 2009 and filed under aerospace watches | 1 Comment »

Hello – I’m considering joining the Air Force with the eventual goal of becoming a pilot, and I could really use some advice.

I’m sure I share this story with every other pilot, but I’ve dreamed of flying since I’ve been young. My uncle flew for the service and my father as a civilian, so I grew up around planes. Naturally, this has been my one consistent goal for the majority of my life.

I’m currently a sophomore studying Aerospace Engineering at a large school on the east coast. Not Ivy league, but nonetheless the engineering program is well known and respected. I took the ACT and scored a 33 (out of 36), and did well on the SAT subject tests I was required to take. My GPA here is in the neighborhood of 3.4 (should improve after this year). I hold a leadership position in a music-related organization and am a member of several other groups.

Physically, I’m in good shape and exercise regularly. I dislocated a shoulder four years ago but haven’t had any trouble with it since, and am told that it is in great condition. Basically, I believe that I physically and mentally qualify.

My question is: What route should I take to maximize my chances of, in the end, becoming a pilot? I have been considering OTS, but I heard that in recent years they have had their slots cut considerably. I looked into the Air Force Academy, but it appears that I would (mostly, at least) have to start over as a freshmen. Any advice on this would be very much appreciated.

Also, I know it would really devastate me to end up as a mechanic or in a support role, watching other people fly. I respect people that work in those fields and understand how important they are, but that sort of work is not my intent. I think any other pilot would understand how I feel.

Basically, I’m trying to figure out how to progress after graduating from college, as it appears transferring is out. Any advice you can give me on this would help, and I appreciate it very much.

    Thanks,
    AH

IT sounds like ROTC would be your best option. They have a 2 and 3 year program that you can take since you are not a freshman. However, getting a pilot’s slot is very competitive. If you get in and get through the Academy, then you are more likely to get a pilot’s slot. However, like you said, you’d have to start from scratch.

Why do i tremble for no reason?

I am seventeen and since i was like thirteen, my hands and sometimes my head would shake for no reason, even when im home watching tv. Its annoying because when i drink a beverage, its just about noticeable, even when im holding a pen. Its not that bad in those kinds of situations but its something that im worried about, especially since i like drwing and i have a large dream of designing aerospace aircrafts, and its kind of scary.
What could it be, can it be stoped or just make the trembling calm down a bit.

Any nice, outdoors, family oriented girls left?

Posted by admin on September 27th, 2009 and filed under aerospace watches | 4 Comments »

I’m just a good guy that just has never found the right person to date. I’m 19, intelligent, somewhat shy, pretty good looks (no superman or anything). I am just wondering if there are any good girls left out there. **Must love family, animals, and the outdoors** Here’s some more about me:

I’m an intelligent guy (attending ERAU in Daytona for Aerospace Engineering). I Love the outdoors and spend much of my time out there. I will participate in almost any outdoors activity, but I’m especially into fishing. I am a "good guy" you could say and believe in honesty, truthfulness, integrity, compassion, and all those things. I love animals and kids, but don’t want kids until settled down with a wife. I am the kind of person that everyone wants to be friends with, but no one ever seems to want to be more than that. I’m not really a geek, but I have some quirks that can make people think that. I’m fairly shy before I get to know people, but I warm up pretty quick. Family is a major part of my life and I spend a lot of time with them.

I’m somewhat of an introvert when I am first introduced to people and not into the party scene at all. I have never had alcohol and don’t plan to anytime soon, never have smoked (never will), never had a girlfriend (sounds sad, but I’ve seen high school relationships which never work out, so I don’t think I missed out on much!). I value intelligence greatly because as Ron White says, "You can’t fix stupid!" I want to get my private pilot license at some point and maybe invest in a plane after college.

somewhat random but I’ve never been in a serious relationship, never had sex, and never been kissed.

I am looking for a nice gal that is intelligent, funny, compassionate, family oriented, and HAS to love dogs. I’d like them to be good looking, I’m not saying supermodel, a few extra pounds is alright with me, although I’m as skinny as a stick and 6′3". I’m math and science orientated which I love, but maybe a girl that is more artistic and such to be different. I find what I do interesting, but I also appreciate the finer things in life.

I may sound too good to be true nowadays, but I assure you, I’ve tried to be 100% honest and I’d love to meet a person that I could spend time with.

    First Date
As for a first date, something simple. Maybe a walk through the woods and just sitting watching the stars. I guess I’m kind of unique, most guys I know just won’t do stuff like that.

I’m also open to friendships. I love to meet new people. and even though I haven’t had much luck dating, I do offer good dating advice.

    Nick

You sound great! And it’s creepy but ur description sounds a lot like me o.O

Anyway, I’m sure there’s others out there, just look carefully. I admit it is becoming harder to find just the *right* person; and like you I’m picky about it ;)

    So, good luck.

Why do all of these high level officials question the events of 9/11?

Posted by admin on September 23rd, 2009 and filed under aerospace watches | 3 Comments »

Current U.S. Senator states "The two questions that the congress will not ask . . . is why did 9/11 happen on George Bush’s watch when he had clear warnings that it was going to happen? Why did they allow it to happen?"
Current Republican Congressman states that "we see the [9/11] investigations that have been done so far as more or less cover-up and no real explanation of what went on"
Current Democratic Congressman hints that we aren’t being told the truth about 9/11
Former U.S. Republican Congressman and senior member of the House Armed Services Committee, and who served six years as the Chairman of the Military Research and Development Subcommittee, has shown that the U.S. tracked hijackers before 9/11, is open to hearing information about explosives in the Twin Towers, and is open to the possibility that 9/11 was an inside job
Former Democratic Senator states that he supports a new 9/11 investigation and that we don’t know the truth about 9/11
Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense under President Ronald Reagan said that the official story of 9/11 is "the dog that doesn’t hunt" (if you suspect he is a closet liberal, take a look at his bio)
Former director of the U.S. "Star Wars" space defense program in both Republican and Democratic administrations, who was a senior air force colonel who flew 101 combat missions, and who is a Catholic Archbishop stated that 9/11 was an inside job (he also said "If our government had merely done nothing, and allowed normal procedures to happen on that morning of 9/11, the twin towers would still be standing, and thousands of dead Americans would still be alive. [T]hat is treason")
Former U.S. Army Air Defense Officer and NORAD Tac Director, decorated with the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star and the Soldiers Medal stated that "there is no way that an aircraft . . . would not be intercepted when they deviate from their flight plan, turn off their transponders, or stop communication with Air Traffic Control … Attempts to obscure facts by calling them a ‘conspiracy Theory’ does not change the truth. It seems, ‘Something is rotten in the State.’"
Former 20-year Marine Corps infantry and intelligence officer, the second-ranking civilian in U.S. Marine Corps Intelligence, and former CIA clandestine services case officer stated that "9/11 was at a minimum allowed to happen as a pretext for war", and it was probably an inside job (see Customer Review dated October 7, 2006).
Former high-ranking Reagan official and very influential conservative doubts the official story about 9/11
Former Two-Star general questions the attack on the Pentagon
Former Air Force Colonel and key Pentagon official finds various aspects of 9/11 suspicious
Former President of the U.S. Air Force Accident Investigation Board, who also served as Pentagon Weapons Requirement Officer and as a member of the Pentagon’s Quadrennial Defense Review, and who was awarded Distinguish Flying Crosses for Heroism, four Air Medals, four Meritorious Service Medals, and nine Aerial Achievement Medals, is a member of a group which doubts the government’s version of 9/11
Current U.S. Congresswoman, former senior CIA analyst, former Deputy Secretary for Intelligence and Warning under Nixon, Ford, and Carter, former US Ambassador and Chief of Mission to Iraq, former Deputy Director to the White House Task Force on Terrorism, and former US Department of State Foreign Service Officer (as well as a who’s who of liberals and independents) jointly call for a new investigation into 9/11
Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg said that some of the claims concerning government involvement in 9/11 are credible, that "very serious questions have been raised about what they [U.S. government officials] knew beforehand and how much involvement there might have been", that engineering 9/11 would not be humanly or psychologically beyond the scope of the current administration, and that there’s enough evidence to justify a new, "hard-hitting" investigation into 9/11 with subpoenas and testimony taken under oath

Former FBI translator, who the Department of Justice’s Inspector General and several senators have called extremely credible (free subscription required), said "If they were to do real investigations we would see several significant high level criminal prosecutions in this country. And that is something that they are not going to let out. And, believe me; they will do everything to cover this up". She also is leaning towards the conclusion that 9/11 was an inside job
A 28-year career CIA official says 9/11 was an inside job
A retired 27-year CIA analyst who prepared and presented Presidential Daily Briefs and served as a high-level analyst for several presidents stated that there are indications that Cheney ordered a stand down of the military on 9/11
Former FBI agent says "The FBI, rather than trying to prevent a terrorist attack, was merely gathering intelligence so they would know who to arrest when a terrorist attack occurred."
Former air traffic controller, who knows the flight corridor which the two planes which hit the Twin Towers flew "like the back of my hand" and who handled two actual hijackings says that 9/11 could not have occurred as the government says, and that planes can be tracked on radar even when their transponders are turned off (also, listen to this interview)
Former 6-year Inspector General, U.S. Department of Transportation and former Professor of Aviation, Dept. of Aerospace Engineering and Aviation says "the [9/11] commission is clearly not talking to everybody or not telling us everything …. Huge discrepancies persist in basic facts …. when we heard the carriers and governments alike saying, “Oh, no one could have foreseen this. No one knew that this was coming. No one knew that there was any risk like this in the world,” is absolutely false….
The Group Director on matters of national security in the U.S. Government Accountability Office said that President Bush did not respond to unprecedented warnings of the 9/11 disaster and conducted a massive cover-up instead of accepting responsibility
Former ambassador to Iraq is not satisfied with the official story
Numerous high-level legal scholars question the official version of 9/11. As do numerous military leaders.
And many officials from allied governments have also questioned 9/11:
Statement by former President of Italy
Statements by former German Defense Minister and current member of British Parliament
Statement by former Canadian Minister of Defense

Statements of two former MI5 (British intelligence) agents (19 minutes into video)

Statement of a high-ranking general and the former chief of NATO regarding bombs in the Twin Towers (in Danish)

Statement by the commander-in-chief of the Russian Air Force; and see also statement of former chief of staff of the Russian armed forces

    TL;DR

I was watching this movie last night and I don’t know what it was called?

It’s about a white cop who loses his partner in a shootout and he goes to the funeral and everthing.. then he goes out on duty and this black guy is trying to get his keys out of the ignition from the opened window outside the car and the cop pulls up and asks him for his ID and stuff and the guy says no so he trys to arrest him but the black guy is resisting. Then a bee comes and the black guy gets all scared cause he is allergic to bees. So the cop starts trying to hit the bee with his night stick. There is a family buy the car on the other side and they start filming the incident because it looks like the cop is beating the shit out of the black guy. Then the LA police force fires the cop cause they actually thought that he was beating him. Then they find out that there actually was a bee and rehire him. After that the cop and black dude some how become partners to investigate a crime even though they’re just mall cops. In their investigation they find out that their captain of the police force is in on the crime. Then they find these kegs that aren’t made out of regular metal but metal with a very high melting point from the CIA.(hahaha not central intel. agency but crups something aerospace). The metal was able to be welded and still be as cold as ice. Hahaha then they’re in a shootout with one of the captain (the dirty cop)’s guys and the black guy got shot then they went to the white guys girlfriends house to get it healed and it turned out to be a scratch on his leg and it barely grazed him. In the end they get medals and get to be partners in the LAPD. Haha it sounds kind of bloody and bad but its supposed to be funny. Its kind of like burn after reading but with cops. It was on tv on Tnt yesterday(march 6th 2009) do you know what it is

    National Security 2003.

I have a difficult question I want to ask (sorry its a bit long)?

Posted by admin on September 20th, 2009 and filed under aerospace watches | 3 Comments »

    I’m female/27/single.
I thank you so much for your time and patience. I’m sorry if this takes long to explain though necessary. Your answers mean so much to me.

I invited this very quiet nice young man home to spent christmas with us. It was so hard to bring him home in the first place, we’ve been trying to get him to come in so many ways, mailed, left message, phone call and thru his friends, my sister and mom. I am not telling all this because I am interested in him or in love with him, I’m clear about that, I want him not to be depressed anymore. He doesn’t speak to anybody. At all.

I am an aerospace engineer. He is also a very handsome engineer with longish curly hair (he’s my age, 27yrs old). He is a very close friend of my identical twin sister (shes works for a newspaper) as they live close by (and see and sit by him and spent more time together) and I have been with him, gone rock climbing, hiking and camps with him on several occasions and known him over more than one year and we are very close friends though there’s something about him that makes him distant, like an invisible boundary full of sorrow that you cannot penetrate. He has met my mom before with my sister and everyone knows him, to my grand parents, knows my dad and both our friends. He grew up orphaned in a very terrible tragedy which left deeps marks in his youth. He hardly speaks at all, even to direct questions. He looks at you straight in your eye with tight lips with his big brown eyes looking straight into your heart and soul. His eyes bores into your heart in a calming way. We usually have to ask him yes or no questions or guess an answer for him. Its very hard to be with him without showing emotions, there is a heartbreaking silence. It was so nice to have him at our home. Its not that he is rude or anything, he has a very calm and peaceful nature and everything about him is truly sweet, but you could look at his eyes and could see his heart is breaking into little pieces inside. He is like a little child.
He has the most beautiful smile, but he hardly smiles at all. His eyes have so much depth. Me and my mom sat with him and had more than few talks, to help him and let him know how much we care and want to be a part of his life and how much we love him. And yesterday we have told him that his silence worries us and would want him to speak to us, and help him speak. He would nod with tears filling eyes. Usually everybody cries around him.
He usually ‘hmm’s or nods yes or no. Hes social, and so lovable and would sit with you, even your friends, but just wont speak. (He makes friends with girls so quick without ever speaking a single word.) That’s something about him that makes him very strange. Hes is not uneasy, secretive, fidgity or even nervous around us, we known him for so long and knows everything about him as everybody do, since he is so dependent on many people we known from church since he was a child growing up because he doesn’t speak. But he can speak. He is extremely intelligent and has a PhD in engineering (Yale and MIT). His school mates, professors everybody knows he can talk, but they never heard him speak. My mom loves him so much. He gives the most loving hugs. He is the most honest person I’ve ever met and he is very sincere about his feelings and emotions. He answers us about his feelings and tells how he feels and how much sad he is and what hurts him when we email. Its like talking, but never with words.
At work he is so silent, even other engineers who have known him for years thought he was mute. He is very patient. He likes to observe and listen. Even our senior engineers and managing engineers doesn’t talk to him, but he is present on our conference meetings, field works, on sites, labs, but would never address a question or answer one. Everybody feels and hurts for him. He only talks to my sister, but in bits and pieces, to his long long time roommate, they usually go out get a beer or something or talk stuff and his counselor.

My question is, is there anything else I can do to open him up little bit more? To make him be happy and enjoy a full life and be like other young men full of life. We known him for so long, enough to call him our own brother, he knows so much of us all, and little jokes and hurts. Hes so much fun to be with and play games with and watch movies. We don’t want him to hurt anymore, we want him to talk to everybody and be confident. (thats the odd thing about him he is not scared of anybody, its not a question about confidence, but its about not speaking). How could we make him forget his hurts and tell him to move on besides just telling that, we’ve even done that. It seems like my twin sister is the only one who could get him talking sometimes. We once had a visiting senior engineer who is a VP from Raytheon who flew in to meet him and talk to him about work and asked him many questions at the conference table (all work related) about designs, codes, etc and he s
codes, etc and he simple looked back at him open eyed and you could obviously see the frustration in the VP’s words and face.

What are we to do with this young man? My mom is truly hurt and had many many talks with him now over time, so did my sister and her roommates to help him to move on with life. He is christian and goes to my twin sisters church.

(He is sleeping downstairs in our guest room.)

You could try to make him speak in fun ways. Like playing board games, or twister or even taboo.Something that you need to use your words in. Other than that you could tell him what others might think of him because of his mute behavior other than that I would just let him be.

any ideas for a gift for my airman?

Posted by admin on September 18th, 2009 and filed under aerospace watches | 1 Comment »

my fiance is in the air force and is currently in tech school for aerospace medical services which translates into paramedic/nurse.
he just passed registry for the emt portion of his training and i want to get him a gift that says "i’m soooo proud of you!" this wouldn’t be so difficult if he wasn’t away at tech school. i’ve already sent him a skateboard, skate videos, clothes, books, an ipod for his birthday, and various favorite snacks in every package. but this time i want to send something special. like i said, something that says "i’m proud of you". i just can’t figure out what to send him. i don’t really know what you need in tech school.
any suggestions? and please don’t suggest a watch, my sister got him one for bmt graduation. i want something original.

A nice screwdriver set! I know that is what would make me happy, There are many kinds of screwdrivers.
I like the idea of my wife shopping in that department.
    (I am being serious)

What kind of laptop should I get EXACTLY?

Posted by admin on September 16th, 2009 and filed under aerospace watches | 3 Comments »

Hi, I’m going to Illinois Institute of Technology next year. I’m going to specialize in the aerospace engineering program, so I’m going to need programs like Auto-CAD and other large software programs (how much does Auto-CAD take up anyway?). And I suppose I’ll be doing presentations and stuff like that in the near future.
On a personal note, I want a laptop that I can use to burn cds and dvds, handle torrents of downloads, store a LOT of pictures, and watch movies from the internet and DVDs in great, crisp picture quality. I know that the Intel Core 2 Duo is the best right now, but what kind of processor do I NEED for all my stuff? What is the best processor speed, lb cache, etc.? Should I get an Intel 4500 MD graphics card or something better? What is the best sized hard drive for everything I want to do? And last question: is it better to buy a configured laptop online with things like microsoft office pre-installed, or is it better to buy my laptop from the store and buy ms office/ anti-virus separately?

I appreciate any and all help I receive for my questions.

the 500gb 5400 rpm western digital hard drive costs like 100 dollars and is very good. for cad you need discrete graphics like nvidia and ati. Any 2.2 or more dual core intel will do, the more the better. i looked up the highest requirements for engineering i think and it says you need 4gb ram,15" screen, dvd burning capability, 2.53 l2 6mb processor but i think all that aint necessary. hm maybe a thinkpad t500 or w500? dell?
